Pin-Hong Lin, a pianist from Taiwan, is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma degree at the Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University Bloomington, under the tutelage of Professor Norman Krieger. He previously completed his undergraduate studies at National Taiwan Normal University under Professor Hsing-Chwen Hsin, having begun his musical journey at the age of five with Chia-Chen Liang. In addition, He also maintains a close artistic mentorship with Professor Xin Wang, Artistic Director of the Euregio Piano Award.
He has distinguished himself in several prestigious international competitions, most recently earning Third Prize and Best Classical Sonata Performance Prize at the 13th Paderewski International Piano Competition, and Hastings Prize in Hastings piano Competition in UK.
His other notable accolades include Second Prize at the Philadelphia International Piano Competition (USA) and Third Prize at the 70th Maria Canals Piano Competition (Barcelona, Spain).
As a soloist, he has performed concertos with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra(UK), Pomerania Philharmonic, Barcelona Youth Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Smith Square, Taipei Symphony Orchestra, National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, and the New Music Ensemble. He has also given recitals across Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Poland, Germany, Spain, and the United States. His professional engagements include serving as a guest artist at the D-festival in Quanzhou.
He has further refined his artistry through masterclasses with such distinguished pianists as András Schiff, Victor Rosenbaum, Stephen Hough, and George Li.
